Renewable Energy Deployment: Global and Local

China has been much in the economic news lately. That makes this month’s presentation on Renewable Energy Deployment: Global and Local particularly timely. As renewable energy deployment accelerates around the world, the wind and solar industries have become a multi-billion dollar, global business. This talk will explore renewable energy market and policy trends and connect those trends to developments in Colorado.

Dr. David Mooney, leads NREL’s Strategic Energy Analysis Center, and previously was responsible for managing and coordinating NREL’s $70M solar R&D portfolio, along with efforts to identify and address technical issues associated with the large-scale deployment and integration of renewable and efficiency technologies into the existing energy infrastructure. Dave has also testified as an expert witness before the U.S. House of Representatives’ Subcommittee on Energy and Environment, and is extremely qualified to talk about deployment trends impacting renewable energy.

Analysis at NREL aims to increase understanding of the current and future interactions and roles of energy policies, markets, resources, technologies, environmental impacts, and infrastructure. This talk also serves as the perfect complement to the keynote at October’s Energy Forum, so be sure to attend and bring your questions! To register on line click on Lunch Registration.
